Michelle Bowman-Howard, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist with an interest in wellness, health, stage zero cancer prevention and athletic performance. She graduated with honors from Baylor University with a BBA in computer information systems and management. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, then completed two years of general surgery residency in Houston. After that she finished her Anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston, the last year as a Chief Resident of Anesthesia. Initially she practiced at the Medical School as an Associate Professor of Anesthesia and Assistant Residency Director, then went into private practice in Houston and. Became Chief of Anesthesia and Chief Medical Officer at The Methodist Hospital- Sugar Land. She has practiced in The Woodlands, Texas, since that time and pursued a hobby of Ironman and half-Ironman triathlon races, and competed in the long course world championships.
Dr. Bowman-Howard is co-founder of Hippocrates Research Foundation that studies the prevention of cancer. Liquid biopsies diagnosed her own stage zero melanoma and ovarian cancers in 2014. These two cancers have kept in check by non-toxic therapies which also improve overall health and improve athletic performance.
